Surface Treatment 

   Neodymium magnet is easy corroded in acid , salt and moisture environment due to it’s content of rare earth elements. Uncoated Neodymium Iron Boron should not be used in harsh surrounding and requires a protective layer of coating  in order to protect against corrosion . Honfon  magnet offers a variety of different coating suited to the environments of the magnet . The surface treatment usually taken on the magnets is as follows :

1) Metallic Coatings:    Zn, Color-Zn, Ni, Double Ni, Ni-Cu-Ni, Ni+Sn

2)Organic Coatings: Black Epoxy  and Gray Epoxy

3)Others:  Passivation and  Phosphatization
